In Portugal, crabs are normally enjoyed simply steamed. The core of the crab, though, is reserved for the preparation of "stuffed crab". The boiled crab meat is mixed with different ingredients to make a paste that is later spread on rusk toast or bread, and served as appetizer. The stuffing has a mayo consistency, but it is also quite tangy.
