On a hot day, or maybe any day, eating halawa is a bit of a chore. It's rich, it's quite sweet, it's dry, and it crumbles. Nevertheless, I'm a fan, so long as there's a gallon of water and a bench nearby. This bar was of the sesame variety, the usual variety in Egypt.
