
A cornmeal staple food, consumed as both a main course or a side dish. Most Malawians do not consider a meal complete unless it contains nsima. This one is made from white corn flour, but a darker version also exists that is made from corn without peeling the husks. It is normally eaten with two side dishes, typically vegetables or sauces.
