Naija Jollof in Nigeria Submitted by: jaice

Hi guys, I'm a Nigerian and just recently joined this platform. For starters I would like you all to know what most families in Nigeria eat for the festive periods. Have you heard of the Naija jollof?? What of the party jollof?? A musician in my country sang of it; you can search "Jollof on a Jet," by DJ Cuppy.

That aside this meal is to die for. Once you taste it you must ask for more! It is the meal every household prepares for the festive season, just as the Americans eat turkey for Thanksgiving. I can tell you lots of stories concerning this meal and also lots of drama following it! There is no celebration here in my country without this meal--it is the chief host. This is just one of our Naija festive foods.
