This carpaccio de poisson, which turned out to be local capitaine (Nile perch), was a daily special at this great little beachfront restaurant. Capitaine is a mild white fish that was surprisingly meaty when treated with only a heavy hand of olive oil, lemon, and black pepper. It was really delicious, a beautiful starter for a seafood feast.
