Local sorbet

Submitted by lsr
N'ice Cream
97 Avenue A.Peytavin, Dakar, Senegal

This small African chain is beloved for its wide range (36+) of ice cream flavors, and most of the sorbets are made w/local fruits. Pictured is the delicious corosol, or soursop, flavor: thick, at turns sweet and sour, and smooth as silk. Other sorbets included mango, guava, and passionfruit, but we also loved the chocolate-hazelnut "Obama" flavor. Bonus: It's an air-conditioned haven near Sandaga market.
