Back in the day when I was a young little girl, I remember playing with my younger brother all day long during the summer break. Our playtime mostly included going on mini-adventures around the areca nut plantation, climbing the near by hills as if we were mountaineers, riding our cycles on the rough kacha road, and once in a while fishing in the near by pond. But the best part about the day was eating neer dosa with meensar (fish curry), which was prepared by our dear grandmother not only using the homemade masalas but also with an additional tinge of love. The dish reminds me of the fresh coastal winds that passed through me as a child and brought me so much close to nature making me a real life adventurer.
