This is a rice cake stuffed with molasses and deep-fried to crispy hot perfection. This is a hot sweet dish that is typically eaten for breakfast. You can find it in most parts of northeast India, but we enjoyed ours in Assam courtesy of local tasty food … look for the plate ‘Guwahati.’ Thin and crispy, it’s an ideal way to start the day, particularly if you ask for some on the side.
