Monjayaki

Submitted by kayokorob
Monkichi
Tokyo, Chuo-ku, Tsukishima, 3-8

The specialty in Tsukishima (Tokyo) is monjayaki. Monjayaki is similar to a pancake, but looser. There is an art to making it, and at Monkichi they will come to the table to prepare it for you (see video). There are countless monja restaurants in the area. Monkichi was recommended by locals, and the entrance is off the main road, in an alleyway. Check out this great video of monjayaki preparation.
