The sweet and juicy (make sure you've nabbed some tissues from people handing them out on Japanese streets) shiromomo (white peach) is commonly seen in Okayama during the summer months. Though it may be more famous for not having been eaten, as one particular shiromomo was the home of a local hero in Japanese folklore named "Momotaro."
