This is a traditional Lao dish made with ground meat (usually pork, chicken, or beef), shallots, cilantro, and sometimes mint. The dish is seasoned with lime juice, fish sauce, and dried chilis. It is served with sticky rice and eaten with hands. Take a ball of sticky rice, some laap, and put it all into your mouth. Wash it down with Beer Lao!
