Casado

Submitted by piggybackrideaz
Hotel Arenal Green
1km on the road to Catarata Rio Fortuna, La Fortuna de San Carlos, Arenal Volcano National Park, Costa Rica

Casado is the most typical (and affordable!) meal in Costa Rica. You make a choice between beef/chicken/fish or vegetarian combination that will be served with a side of steamed rice, black beans, salad, fried banana and, sometimes, fried egg. This makes for a balanced, tasty and very fulfilling meal, best finished up with some Costa Rican coffee!
