Driving through The Burren on a cold day, soup, any kind, was calling us. Luckily we found warm respite at The Soda Parlour on the main street in the village of Ballyvaughan. Irish potatoes were boosted by local squash and the perfect amount of cream. Housemade, simple brown bread, butter and a side salad, kept me going all the way to Galway.
