Puffy Poffertjes

Submitted by carinachiodo
Street Vendor
Amsterdam, Netherlands

If all pancakes were compressed into tiny pockets of sugary, greasy love, they would be called Poffertjes. These fried Dutch dough balls are heavily doused in a heap of powdered sugar, and their aroma of hot batter can be smelled from about a half mile away. Found on street corners all over the Netherlands, don't EVER pass on a plate of poffertjes
