The owner of Fergburger must surely be a Belinda Carlisle fan because he has made heaven a place on earth. Founded on December 22, 2000 and opened in February 2001, operating out of a garage off Cow Lane in Queenstown, New Zealand Fergburger, in my opinion, is one of the best burger joints in the world. As a matter of fact in 2015 CNN named Fergburger the best burger joint on the planet.
In 2005 Fergburger, specialising in gourmet hamburgers, found a new home on Shotover Street in the heart of the tourist hub that is Queenstown, and has been there ever since. The menu consists of some delightful choices at very reasonable prices and the restaurant is open twenty one hours a day. So whether you’re in need of a hangover cure when the night falls down, you want a pick me up after a late evening on the town or you’re just looking to enjoy a peaceful meal beside Lake Wakatipu, Fergburger will always be around.
Queenstown is a beautiful location in the South Island of New Zealand with a plethora of adventurous activities to try. After a day of parasailing, paragliding or mountain climbing there is no better way to cap if off than with a burger at Fergburger. Bear in mind, if you wish to line up, the queue can be about 45 minutes so if you’re really hungry you can order over the phone. If you do join the queue however the long wait will be worth your time. I would recommend trying the original Fergburger. It consists of Prime New Zealand beef, lettuce, tomato, red onion, aioli and tomato relish and will cost you $12.90. To make it extra special consider adding cheese (Cheddar, Blue, Swiss or Brie), which will take the price to $13.90 or add an extra bit of beef and cheese and pay $16.90. When you eventually sink your teeth into the juicy tenderness of the Fergburger you will understand its worth because it truly is, heaven on earth.
