Bunuelos con miel de guayaba

These fried dough pastries could be considered the Spanish and Latin answer to the traditionally American donuts. Made on the spot, this restaurant serves the bunuelos hot with a smooth guava sauce that they like calling "miel de guayaba" (guava honey) in their gourmet ways. Quite fulfilling, ideal not only for dessert but also as a treat on its own!
