Melcocha

Submitted by jessie
Dulces Criollos Vista Galipan
Parque Nacional El Avila, Caracas

Take the ferrocarril straight up into the clouds of Caracas' urban national park to try local sweets such as melcocha, local hot chocolate or strawberries and cream. Melcocha is a molasses-based candy with a hint of lemon. At this small street stand you can try the famous 'Dulces Artesanales Galipaneros' brand.
