Newly arrived in Spicewood, we tried Opies for BBQ, as we made our quest to find our favorite BBQ place in Central Texas. We have tried dozens, in Austin, down to Lockhart, south to San Antonio, and north to Waco. Its not surprising that Franklins was our favorite but its so hard to get. Our close second is Opies, and much easier to get. The coffee/cayenne rub on the brisket is a truly unique spin. Give it a try.
