Taiwanese shaved ice

Submitted by vanessa
S&S Shaved Ice, Flushing Mall
13331 39th Avenue, Flushing NY

Taiwanese shaved ice is a popular sweet in NYC's Chinatown, and Flushing (Queens) is no exception. In the Flushing Mall, I like this place for a quick hit of super-sweetness. The ice gets piled under the fun colorful toppings, which might include various jellies, black beans, coconut, taro root, and, of course, condensed milk.
