Local-fruit rum

Submitted by lsr
Lodge des Collines de Niassam
Palmarin Ngallou, JOAL, Sénégal

This gorgeous, splurge-worthy lodge in the stunning Sine Saloum Delta region of Senegal has a bar stocked with bottles of rum infused w/local fruits--this one's made w/bouye, the fruit from the baobab tree (which are everywhere down here). A glass of it, mixed w/sugarcane syrup and served on the rocks, runs $4, and these babies are STRONG!
