Fried spiders are a popular treat all over Cambodia. They say the taste for spiders started during the Khmer Rouge genocide when there was not much to eat. Now, spiders can be found in some Khmer restaurants and on food carts. I have not tried them! However, I hear the body is gooey and the legs are tasty.
