Tony's Donair
2390 Robie St, Halifax, NS B3K 1J3 ?

The Halifax donair was invented in the 1970s by Greek immigrants who adapted the "gyro" to suit local tastes. Spicy ground beef is cooked on a spit and shaved into thin strips, which are piled into a pita and topped with onions, tomatoes, and a sweet white sauce made from milk, vinegar and sugar.
