Organic apple ice cider (cidre de glace)

Submitted by lsr
Le Marché des saveurs
280 Place du Marché-du-Nord Montreal

This beautiful cider is a limited-production, 100% organic wine from Maniadakis Orchard in Quebec, where the apples are frozen on the tree, pressed, and left to naturally ferment for two years--an increasingly rare, authentic way to make this local specialty w/out shortcuts. This store was offering samples, and we had to buy a bottle, finding it delicate & smooth, with a super fresh apple taste.
