Kaiser stands for emperor (it was a favourite of Austrian Franz Josef I) and schmarrn is closest to "nonsense," for reasons only understandable to the Habsburgs. For us no-nonsense people, it's a caramelized pancake which is subsequently torn into smaller pieces, so that it can be more conveniently dipped in homemade plum and apricot sauce.
