One of the many versions of Czech goulash, or guláš, in this city, this had chunks of beef swimming in a thick tasty gravy, with a pile of soft, shaved horseradish on top (which isn't totally traditional). On the side were karlovarské knedlíky, or Carlsbad-style bread dumplings, which were delicious--kind of like balls of soft herbed croutons.
