Ollebrod

Kongens Nytorv 8 Copenhagen, Denmark

Ollebrod is a traditional porridge made of rye bread and beer; apparently it's a popular breakfast for kids in Denmark. At this clubby new-Nordic restaurant, however, it's given a twist: The deeply flavorful ollebrod is pooled inside perfectly ripe, loose blackberries, like soft tiny pebbles. Underneath is a layer of creme fraiche that tastes almost like cottage cheese. So delicious, an awesome reimagining of a traditional dish.
