The concha negra (black scallop) was the freshest I’ve ever had. It’s sweetness intense even in the blizzard of fiery leche. El Verídico de Fidel, located incongruously in a shady part of Victoria in the shadows of a mid-sized soccer stadium, is doing some serious work.
