Ok…it feels like cheating to put a fountain drink up on this site. But Big Red is a true Texas original – first created in Waco in 1937. This cream soda is a classic accompaniment to Texas BBQ (or try a Big Red float if you’re really hungry). This version came from Cooper’s, my favourite BBQ joint in the Austin area (no mean feat).
