Native to Essex County, New Jersey, and created at the old-school neighborhood hangout The Belmont Tavern, these lightly battered shrimp pieces are hit with just enough heat to make your tongue feel loved. Think Shrimp Fra Diavlo with a little more attitude. Other area establishments have tried to emulate it, but nothing is as good as the original.
