$4 Falafel

Submitted by lsr
King of Falafel & Shawarma
53rd St. & Park Ave. NY, NY

This is the Midtown cart of an excellent Queens-based enterprise that does delicious street food...but it's the falafel sandwich that's only $4! It's stuffed with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, pickled turnips, white sauce & (fiery) red sauce, and a few oblong chickpea fritters, deep-fried minutes before you eat them in your toasted pita. A super satisfying, dirt-cheap lunch on the go.
